Student Organization
The Student Organization is the umbrella organization for all of the School of Social Work's special interest groups and the National Association of Black Social Work Students (NABSWS). The organization provides student/community advocacy, a liaison to the faculty and administration, education through speakers and presentations, information on current and upcoming events, and a place for students to voice ideas and concerns.
Meetings: Thursdays (once a month), 3 - 4 p.m., Thompson Home.

National Association of Black Social Work Students (NABSWS)
The NABSWS student chapter offers members the opportunity to exchange information, ideas and socialize with fellow students of African descent.
Meetings: third Thursday of each month, 3 - 4:30 p.m., Thompson Home.

Student Organization of Latino/a Social Workers
The SOLASW student chapter is affiliated with the Michigan Chapter of the Organization of Latino/a Social Workers and exists as a means of supporting its members, networking within the community, and addressing social issues that impact its members and those they serve.

Bisexuals, Gays, Lesbians, and Allies in Social Work The organization supports the social, academic and advocacy concerns of gay, lesbian and bisexual students in the School of Social Work at WSU. Its goal is to educate and inspire others at the school, and throughout the university population, regarding sensitivity and respect for people with different sexual orientations than their own.

Center for Community Social Work
An organization comprised of students who have chosen "Community Practice and Social Action" as their concentration. It seeks to enhance the education and practice skills of its members and other students and to engage in various community building, rebuilding and revitalization efforts.
